Our Story

My love of photographing wildlife and landscapes quickly turned to a love of photographing people with the birth of my son Will in 1986.Capturing human expression and movement became my passion.  I received my Photography Certification from New York Institute of Photography. Since then, I have focused on High School Senior photography and action sports. In addition to my own studio, I am a freelance photographer for The Geauga County Maple Leaf.

Many soon-to-be seniors may be pretty comfortable behind their smartphones front-facing camera but the experience of a professional studio or outdoor landscape with professional lighting can be a different experience. While many may simply enjoy this experience, I take the time to ensure this is the case; allowing both student and parent to be relaxed and comfortable, you might even have a little fun!  This is how I capture your real expressions, which make for the best photographs.

I love it when I see the smile on the parents' and senior's faces when they preview their photos.  Some remarks have been, "Is that really my little girl?" or "I look Awesome!".

Fugate Photography is a home based studio with myself as photographer and my wife Linda as my assistant.  We are located at 14140 Main Market Rd. (St Rt 422) Troy Township, between Hiram and Burton.  We offer both a professional indoor studio and an outdoor studio with wonderful natural backgrounds. We prefer the outdoors and are willing to travel to a location of your choice.  We are available weekends and some evenings.
